Typically, trucks are no older than 5-years old, and come with spacious cabins, noise-dampening insulation, furnishings for Sirius XM radio, and auxiliary heating and cooling. Yes, Gypsum Express assigns each driver a vehicle. We do not slip-seat drivers in different vehicles. The only time outside your own vehicle is for maintenance. Our goal is to get you back on the road quickly and safely as possible.
Breakdown services are always on call. We use Streets and Trips Internet to locate closest on-road vendors. All breakdowns are covered by company accounts or Tchek, and all tire breakdowns can be managed by Bridgestone, Goodyear, and Michelin National Accounts.
Yes, each of our eleven terminal locations are equipped with driver’s amenities (laundry facilities, showers, truck/trailer parking) open 24/7 with private, coded access for drivers.
Gypsum Express offers parking at each of our eleven terminals to our drivers. We also allow drivers to park their truck at home, or other locations approved by the terminal manager. Expenses for parking at a commercial truck stop or travel plaza are not covered by Gypsum Express.
Drivers are home weekly for their 34-hour reset.

No, Gypsum Express does not pay for candidates to obtain their CDL-A. However, we do offer tuition reimbursement, and Veteran applicants are reviewed to determine their eligibility for benefits to include Post 9/11 GI Bill.
Yes, training consists of one week of paid orientation, and up to six weeks of in-cab training with a trainer. Transportation to/from orientation is provided, along with hotel, meals, and visa gift card for incidental expenses.

Yes, both are paid. Your official hire date will be the first day of orientation.
Gypsum Express certifies only the best drivers to become new employee trainers. All driver trainers must have a safe driving record, pass the Gypsum Express trainer certification course, and be recommended by their Manager and Terminal Manager.
The 6-week new employee “in-cab” training can be completed out of any of our eleven terminals and is determined by the training department. While Gypsum Express makes every effort to get drivers home weekly during training, it is not always possible. Our training staff does the best we can to ensure your in-cab training is the best experience.
After your 6-weeks of in-cab training, and skills evaluation certification by the Gypsum Express Safety Department.
